Bolognese pasta according to the Cook Processor

How about testing this beautiful robot in the office? I find some colleagues ready to make the culinary guinea pigs and launch out in the development of penne bolognaise. The recipe is taken from the KitchenAid recipe book. I chose it because the Bolognese pasta is always a good idea and because the book seems to imply that I will not need any other accessory than those provided with the robot. And since I'm in the kitchen, it suits me, since I don't have an oven, a mandolin, or even a cutting board. It's a tête-à-tête between the KitchenAid robot and me - and minced meat. Ingredients : - 200 grams of peeled onions - 1 clove of peeled garlic - 5 tablespoons of olive oil - 500 grams of minced meat - 100 grams of smoked bacon - 800 grams of canned diced tomatoes - 2 cubes of meat broth - 1 handful of fresh basil - 500 milliliters of water - 500 grams of uncooked penne The preparation of penne Bolognese: I install the "Multiblade" blade in the bowl. I put the onion and the garlic. I chop 5 seconds with the "pulse" button.
I replace the blade with the "StirAssist" mixer, I add the oil, the meat, and the bacon in the bowl. I choose the MIJOTER7 program, I press start, the screen announces: "step 1". I press Start and leave the robot alone for 5 minutes at 130 ° C. The robot chose all the temperature settings on its own. I let him do it. When step 1 ends, I add the tomatoes, the cubes, the basil, the water and I close the lid while removing the cap. I press start. And I go back to go about my business.
After step 2, the office kitchen smells good! I add the pasta from the package to the sauce. People tell me, "But it's never going to cook!" Yes, the robot takes care of everything. I press start, I just close the cap and let it go.

The Cook Processor: the verdict

I was able to feed 6 hungry mouths (including mine) with this Bolognese pasta recipe. I asked the aforementioned mouths to record their meal: my KitchenAid version pasta received an average of 8/10. Well done KitchenAid - I dare not put this note on the account of my cooking skills… So I come to the 2nd point: the Cook Processor did EVERYTHING for me. Finally, to be honest, I had to do two things: peel my clove of garlic and my onion. That's all. I didn't need anything other than the robot - I remind you that I was in the office! He did everything by himself like a grown-up, spreading the sweet smell of a simmered dish in offices. 3rd positive point: the Cook Processor is very beautiful. A little less massive than these counterparts - yet the capacity of its bowl is more than comfortable, 4.5 liters, against 3.3 liters for the Thermomix TM5 from Vorwerk - and this thanks to its high design. KitchenAid quality: the finishes are treated with an all-metal robot. Another advantage and not least: it is easy to use. One screen, few buttons. The only negative point that I would note: the weight of the machine. Let's say that once it has found its place on your work plan, it is better not to have to move it every day.
