Today, we are going to tackle an everyday object so essential that we would almost forget its decorative potential. And yes, you decorate your bathroom and your kitchen down to the smallest detail, but have you thought about the soap dispenser? No ? So do not wait any longer to learn how to revamp a soap dispenser with cotton rope, to give it a nautical style.
Equipment
- a liquid soap dispenser - a tube of glue - about 10 m of cotton cord 1.5 mm in diameter - scissors or a cutter Budget: about 10 € Duration: about 15 min Duration: one hour
Steps
1. To begin, disassemble the dispenser so that only the main part is kept. Put a dot of glue on one end, then start wrapping the cord around the main part. 2. Continue by repeating the same operations. Add a point of glue at each turn and make sure to tighten the cord tightly.
3. Cut at the end using scissors or a craft knife and add a dot of glue.
Finally
You now have a unique liquid soap dispenser! You can very well use the same technique to cover a jug or a vase and thus give a seaside atmosphere to your decoration. Did you like this tutorial? Send us photos of your version of this DIY on our Facebook page, and find other ideas on our Pinterest!
